Defrag Ohio Lorain is issuing a CALL FOR INDUSTRY EXHIBITIONS and a CALL FOR MIXED MEDIA EXHIBITIONS April 12, 13 and 14, 2007.

This call is open to all artists and their teams who are currently working in the state of Ohio, regardless of their geographic origin.

>INDUSTRY EXHIBITIONS
The John A. Spitzer Conference Center on the campus of Lorain County Community College, Elyria, Ohio will host Industry Exhibitons at the Defrag Ohio Lorain conference. The Conference Center can accommodate twenty to thirty exhibitor table top or free standing trade exhibit displays. Each exhibitor space is supplied with a dressed, six foot table, electrical outlet and public wireless.

Exhibit space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no charge for the ability to display, but conference attendance is required.

All exhibitors are expected to acknowledge and comply with the John A. Spitzer Conference Center Policy and Procedures (here) and Stocker Arts Center Policy and Procedures regulations.

MIXED MEDIA EXHIBITIONS

The Stocker Arts Center on the campus of Lorain County Community College, Elyria, Ohio, is hosting the Defrag Ohio Lorain conference, Ohio Showcase of Mixed Media Exhibitions, Friday, April 13, 2007, Main Hall, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. (hall/time tentative). In addition, two Stocker amphitheaters are available for performance presentations and workshops (TBA/see conference schedule below). If you have installation exhibitions, these can be accommodated also depending on technical requirements.

Highly disruptive, innovative exhibitions are preferred. Artists, technologists, game developers, etc. are encouraged to preview new multi-media works.

Performance spaces available at the Stocker Arts Center: Stocker Arts Main Hall seating 1100, and two 220 seat amphitheater halls, one with performance floor space and both with projection capabilities.

Exhibit space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no charge for the ability to exhibit. Artist performance applications and technical requirements will be met to the best of crew capabilities available if confirmation and technical information is received by deadline.

If you would like to inquire and/or confirm performance time and space on the Ohio Showcase Mixed Exhibition, please send the following information to Betsey Merkel at betseymerkel@gmail.com before or on March 12, 2007 for performance work requiring technical assistance and no later than April 1, 2007 for all other exhibitions. Please call to inquire/discuss your exhibition at your earliest convenience so we can accommodate exhibitions and publish marketing and communications in a timely manner.
