Award-winning performer and composer Neil Jacobs has worked as a professional musician for more than 25 years. Touring extensively throughout the United States and Europe, he has been featured at international festivals and concerts in Spain, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Bulgaria and the Balkans. As a musical mentor he has inspired elementary school through graduate level students with his performances and discussions. Neil has been featured at The Kennedy Center, The Palace of Culture in Seville, Spain, The World Youth Festival, and on U.S., German and Russian television. His original compositions showcase his knowledge of Gypsy, Jazz, Eastern-European folk, and modern classical music. Considered a ''magic mathematician'' on the twelve-string guitar, his workshops also include demonstrations on many of the stringed folk instruments of Eastern Europe. Jacobs' compositions are available on four discs: ''Secret Places'', ''World Blue,'' ''Cold Fish,'' and ''American Gypsy.''
