A Century of Ohio Watercolor

In a tribute to the Ohio Arts Council's (OAC) 50th anniversary, OAC's Riffe Gallery kicks off 2015 with a milestone exhibition: A Century of Ohio Watercolor, January 29 through April 15, 2015. Produced by the Southern Ohio Museum, Portsmouth (SOM) and curated by SOM Artistic Director Charlotte Gordon, the exhibition will span the years 1915-2015 and showcase over 45 Ohio artists working in the versatile medium of watercolor. Artists include August Biehle, Emerson Burkhardt, Clarence Carter, Cody Heichel, Alice Schille, and many more.
A Century of Ohio Watercolor is produced by the Southern Ohio Museum and presented by the Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery. Educational offerings are sponsored by OAC's Arts Learning Program. Media support from CD102.5, CityScene, Ohio Channel, WOSU, Ohio Magazine, and WCBE 90.5 FM.

The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery will present, All
Play, No Work, May 7 through July 12, 2015.
Curated by Massillon Museum Director Alex Coon, the exhibition
will display artwork by 13 Ohio artists exposing the nature of
their private lives through an introspective look at time spent
away from daily routines in various leisure activities.
Artists in the exhibition will include: Ron Anderson
(Columbus), Donna Coleman (Oberlin), Diana Duncan Holmes
(Cincinnati), Carol Griffith (Orient), Helma Groot (Columbus),
Jay Robert Johnston (Marion), Linda Langhorst (Columbus),
Bellamy Printz (Cleveland), Vicki Rulli and Tom Heaphy
(Springfield), Jessica Summers (Findlay), Stephen Tomasko
(Akron), and Eileen Woods (Columbus).

Work is presented by the Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery
with support from OAC's Individual Artist Grants and Services
Program. Media support provided by CD102.5, CityScene,
Ohio Channel, WOSU, Ohio Magazine, and WCBE 90.5 FM.
About the Riffe Gallery
The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery showcases the work of Ohios artists
and the collections of the states museums and galleries. The Riffe Gallery
is located in the Vern Riffe Center for the Government and the Arts, across from
the Statehouse on High Street in Downtown Columbus. Please note: we do not accept
