The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery presents All
Play, No Work May 7 through July 5, 2015.
Curated by Massillon Museum Director Alexandra Nicholis Coon, the exhibition
will display artwork by 13 Ohio artists, exposing the nature of
their private lives through an introspective look at time spent
away from daily routines in various leisure activities.

An exhibition that combines past with present, Flashback
to Now highlights 15 of the Ohio Arts Council's (OAC)
earliest individual artist grant recipients of the 1980s. Artworks
created at the time of their first grant(s) will be presented
alongside current pieces. Curated by Ann Bremner, Flashback
to Now: OAC Support for Individual Artists will be on
display July 23-October 18, 2015 at the OAC's Riffe Gallery.
Exhibiting artists: Dorothy Gill Barnes (Worthington), Mary Jo Bole (Columbus), Nancy Crow (Baltimore), Jack Earl (Lakeview), Maureen France (Cincinnati), Henry Halem (Kent), Frank Herrmann (Cincinnati), Janice Lessman-Moss (Kent), Charles Massey, Jr. (Columbus), Paul O'Keeffe (Cleveland Heights), Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson (Columbus), Gregory Spaid (Gambier), Brinsley Tyrrell (Ravenna), Garie Waltzer (Cleveland Heights), and Walter Zurko (Wooster).
In celebration of the Ohio Arts Council's 50th Anniversary, the OAC's Riffe Gallery and the OAC's Individual Artist Office are collaborating on the Riffe Gallery's first juried exhibition. Ohio artists, living and working in the state, were invited to submit images of completed indoor work (any medium and any theme) to be considered for inclusion in this juried exhibition. Applications are no longer being accepted. ALL ARTISTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL AS TO WHETHER OR NOT YOUR WORK HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR EXBHITION BY MONDAY, JULY 13, 2015.
selection is based on the work presented. The jurors include: Tyler Cann,
Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus; Petra Kralickova, Ohio
University's Kennedy Museum, Athens; and Marilyn Simmons,
SPACES, Cleveland. The following will be awarded: One $1000 Best of Show Award and
three $500 Juror's Choice Awards (one per juror).

The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery, established March 17, 1989, showcases the work of Ohios artists and the collections of the states museums and galleries. The Riffe Gallery is located in the Vern Riffe Center for the Government and the Arts, across from the Statehouse on High Street in Downtown Columbus.
