Welcome to the Ohio Online Visual Artist Registry(OOVAR)! This database is a collection of original artworks created by visual artists from Ohio and around the world. Contact information for each artist is included with up to 10 images. The registry is a collaborative project between the Ohio Arts Council and the Columbus Metropolitan Library. Currently it contains nearly 9000 images and more than 900 artists, and is growing every day.

All images are protected by Digimarc™ watermarks. The watermarks are not visible on the images, but can be detected with the appropriate software.

To be included in the Registry:

• First you must create a login and password which you will use to enter your new registry information and each time you wish to update your registry listing.
   
• Use Login form below.

Once you have created your login and password we will verify that you do not currently have an OOVAR listing. Once this verification is complete an email will be sent to you instructing you to login and create your registry information. This process of verification only will be done the first time you create your login and password. After this initial process you are free to login and update/change information at anytime.

Once you complete your registry information you will be sent an email instructing you how to send the digital images to the library. At this time we do not have the ability to process online digital upload submissions. The images will have to be sent on disc or slide format or emailed to the library.
