Ohio Arts Council Announces January Board Meeting

Members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) board will meet January 9 and 10, 2013 at the OAC office on the 33rd floor of the Rhodes State Office Tower, located at 30 E. Broad St. in Columbus. The meeting will begin on January 9 at 3:30 p.m. and adjourn at 5 p.m. The board will reconvene on January 10 at 9 a.m. and adjourn at 4:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.

The board will engage in a variety of policy and informational sessions, including a presentation from Kelly Barsdate, chief program and planning officer of the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, Washington, D.C. The board will discuss a variety of topics including: the history of OAC support for major institutions, OAC grant programs and awards, and the current streamlining effort for grant applications.

The 2013 Governors Awards for the Arts in Ohio will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 12 p.m. Awards will be presented by Senate President Keith Faber and Speaker of the House Bill Batchelder at a luncheon honoring the winners and members of the Ohio Legislature at the Columbus Athenaeum, located at 32 N. 4th St. in downtown Columbus.
