Sawdust and Spectacle: Under the Big Top in Small Town America, February 4 – April 27, 2010. Curator Sara Johnson will lead a tour of the exhibition on February 24, 2010 noon – 1 p.m. This exhibition shines a spotlight on the glory days of the traveling circus in the United States from the late 19th century through the 1930s, focusing on its popularity in Midwestern states such as Ohio.
News Article 2: Registration Open for the 2010 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio Luncheon
Registration opens January 15 for the 2010 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio luncheon. The luncheon will be held at noon on April 21, 2010 at the Columbus Athenaeum in downtown Columbus. Six winners were chosen for the 2010 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio. Winners were selected from 79 nominations submitted by individuals and organizations throughout Ohio.
News Article 3: Ohio Arts Council to Visit Cincinnati for Listening Tour
The Ohio Arts Council (OAC) is hitting the road again this fall and winter to find out what Ohioans value about their communities, creativity and the arts. The OAC’s Listening Tour will travel to seven more communities this fall and winter discovering what creativity means to elected officials, arts professionals and citizens in large and small communities across the state. Cincinnati will be the final stop with a visit February 10, 2010.

The Ohio Arts Council (OAC) has adopted a new regional structure to provide support for organizational applicants to OAC funding programs. The structure is based on the Ohio Department of Development’s 12 Economic Development regions.
